ingredients for Swiss rolls:
- Eggs 4
- Caster sugar 112 grams
- Flour 112 grams
- Vanilla essence 1tsp
- Baking powder 1tsp
Strawberry jam as required.
Ingredients for filling :
- Egg yolks 2
- Caster sugar 6 tbsp
- Fresh strawberries 1 cup
- Fresh cream ( beaten) 2 cups
- Milk 3/4cup
- Cornflour 1 tbsp
- Vanilla essence 1/ 2 Tsp

Method:
- beat egg vanilla essence and sugar in a bowl.
- sieve flour and baking powder in a bowl and mix with spoon.
- grease will roll tray and line with butter paper; pour mixture in it and bake in preheated oven till set at 200°C for 10 minutes.
- remove from tray sprinkle caster sugar on a cloth and wrap around a roll.
- unwrap roll and apply jam around it and refrigerate.
- cut Swiss roll into thin rounds grease a bowl and arrange Swiss roll pieces around the sides of the bowl as in a picture.
- cook egg yolks, cornflour, cream, vanilla essence, milk and sugar on low flame while constantly stirring till it becomes thick.
- put the mixture in the center of Swiss roll- lined bowl and refrigerate.
- remove from the fridge when set invert on plate and garnish with fresh strawberries and serve.
